It is essntial to use EXTRA FIX (either FX200 or FX210) when joining two sections together (either corners or on a straight run). This is a high strength ‘superglue’ that will guarantee there won’t be any cracks appearing in future years. The bonded join will actually become stronger than the material itself.
For mounting the coving, we strongly recommend using a silicon based adhesive – FDP700 – especially if any wall or ceiling mounting point has been plastered/skimmed within the last 3 months, or the ambient temperature is less than 10 celcius.
Otherwise the standard water based adhesive FDP500 (cartridge) or FDP600 (tub) should suffice

Our premium coving is much lighter than plaster (gypsum) coving – and much easier to handle and fix. Available in 2.0 meter lengths for easy fixing. Easy DIY fixing aided by light weight and strength. All mouldings include simple fixing instructions. The resin coving material is sawn easily with a fine saw and mitre block. Alternatively use a circular mitre saw fitted with a suitable blade used for cutting plastic. Resin coving is easily fixed with adhesive, or can be mechanically fixed using conventional nails and screws.
